What is included in IMT transport services?Upon booking a transfer, IMT staff will contact the Directors of Care for both sending and receiving facilities to ensure a proper care plan is created along with patient meal plans. Planning for long distance transfers takes careful attention to detail and IMT’s experience will ensure a safe and comfortable transfer.

What is your area of operations?IMT primarily responds to calls for service in the Kootenay’s and Okanagan but is capable for responding anywhere within the Province.

What hours are you open?IMT is available to respond to dispatch calls 24 hours a day 7 days a week. This flexibility allows us to provide the best possible service to our clients.

What qualifications does your staff have?IMT only employs fully licensed Emergency Medical Assistants registered with the Province of BC registered nurses and physicians.

How comprehensive is your service?IMT recognizes that patient care is the forefront of our service and offers every level of assistance required including bedside to bedside. All of IMT staff are fully trained in patient mobility. We offer break along the way to ensure the patients trip is memorable and enjoyable. IMT can facilitate stops along a lake, view points, or special places for the patient. IMT transfers include all costs for the patient during the transfer, including meals and snacks.

Can a family accompany the patient?Yes, IMT understands that family is an important aspect of care and fully encourages family to travel with the patient. We will also go out of our way to ensure quality time with family during pick ups and drop offs with family that can’t travel.

Can IMT transport the patients personal goods during the transfer?IMT offers an additional service of transporting packaged personal items for the patient, eg, suitcases, boxes. No larger items can be transported such as TV's or furniture.

Can IMT offer rest breaks and quality of life stops?IMT offers stops along the way to ensure the patients trip is memorable and enjoyable. Stops along a lake, view points, or special places for the patient. IMT transfers include all costs for the patient during the transfer, including meals and snacks.

What payment methods are accepted?IMT accepts, VISA, MASTERCARD, cash, and e-transfers. Direct billing maybe avalible for orgnaizations such as ICBC, Vetrerans affairs, Work Safe BC, and other goverment agencies with prior authorization.

How much notice is needed to book a tranfer?You may book a transfer anytime into the future and IMT can often accomidate same day bookings depending on availabilty and call volumes.
